FIDO2 Security Key Management in Windows Settings is broken
A recent Windows 11 update — KB5062553 — has introduced a critical issue affecting FIDO2 Security key management in Windows Settings.
OFFPAD users have report that PIN Management and Fingerprint Management is no longer working through Windows Settings.
Microsoft has been made aware of the problem and we expect a fix to be available soon.
Workarounds
PIN Management and Fingerprint Management can still be done in the following ways:
- Through the OFFPAD Device Manager
- Through a browser on MacOS and on Linux, as described in our Getting Started Guide.
If you have received a brand new card you don't need to set a PIN before using it. The first time you try to register am OFFPAD towards a service you will be prompted to set a PIN if no PIN is already set.
NFC support on Android has now been released
We're excited to announce that the OFFPAD now supports Android devices. Whether you're logging in on the go or securing your mobile workflow, it's now easier than ever to stay protected—anytime, anywhere.
